LUCA IACOVONI - Design Principal
"Mr. Iacovoni is a dual citizenship American Italian Architect.
He holds a Master’s in Architecture and an EU license, earned in Italy and Sweden. He studied in Rome at “La Sapienza” University, faculty of Architecture, and in Sweden, where he followed a Master’s Program at the Royal Institute of Technologies KTH in Stockholm.
Founder and Principal of Made in Malibu LLC and D Studio, he has designed, developed, coordinated and expedited many projects in the West LA and Malibu areas.
Mr. Iacovoni has 20 years of design solutions experience in hi-end construction most of which is in Malibu and West LA. His Contemporary Mid-Century Modern style is the product of his almost obsessive studies of the Architectural Language, extensive travels and his many collaborations with talented Designers, Engineers, Artists and Architects alike including Eric Lloyd Wright.
Mr. Iacovoni creates custom designs with a collected feel that reflect the personality and vision of his clients while integrating his design in the specific environment with particular attention to how his concept of “contemporary” architectural language can adapt to the local context.

His specialties are Design Development and Project Management working from design concept through all phases of construction including direct relationships with clients, engineers, surveyors geologists and landscape architects etc. In his working experience with Eric Lloyd Wright, he has acquired and developed a particular approach to sustainable Architecture. He has proven skills in advancing architectural concepts and coordinating with the many specialists, including planners and general contractors, necessary for a successful completion of projects. In his 20 years of experience working directly with The City of Malibu, he has developed longstanding relationships with City officials and staff at every level.
Since the Woolsey fire Luca has been on the forefront of collaborating with the City of Malibu to help many of the victims rebuild".
